SRINAGAR- The Kashmir Chess Club on Tuesday said that it is will be organising“Chess For Everyone FIDE Rated chess Tournament” from February 17 to February 21 at Indoor Sports Stadium in Polo View, Srinagar.
The tournament will be held in collaboration with All J&K Chess Association and J&K Sports Council, while All India Chess Federation has approved/funded the event. World Chess Federation has allotted an event code“313848/J&K/2023” for the tournament.
A press release was issued by Gowhar Rashid, PRO/Press Secretary of The Kashmir Chess Club in this regard.
“The details and descriptions/Brochure of the tournament is available at and Players can register themselves up to 31st of Jan-2023. Till date, some 50 players have already registered themselves and there is mandatory for every player to have an AICF registration for the current year. Those who don't have AICF registration can apply through ,” the press release said.
“It is expected as per the queries/Pledges made by the players/Coaches/Officials and parents from all over the world about 400 players will witness this great event earlier in the month of July 2022 1st Kashmir International Chess Tournament was successfully conducted by this very club,” it added.
