BRUSSELS: The State of Qatar participated on Thursday in the meeting of ambassadors of the Member States of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), held at the headquarters of the OIC Permanent Observer Mission to the European Union (EU) in Brussels.

Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the European Union and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) HE Abdulaziz bin Ahmed Al Malki represented Qatar in the meeting.

Addressing the meeting, His Excellency said that the Palestinian issue is still unresolved, highlighting the fait accompli policy imposed by the settlement occupation amid failure to implement the decisions of international legitimacy, which may change the rules of conflict and the form of global solidarity in the future.

His Excellency asserted Qatar's full solidarity with the brotherly Palestinian people in their aspiration for justice, and the need to compel Israel to end the occupation of the Palestinian territories and establish a Palestinian state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.

His Excellency also asserted the need to meet regularly and enhance cooperation within the OIC Mission to the EU in a bid to exchange views on matters of importance and activate the organization's role with the EU.
