OPEC Basket Up To USD 81.86 Pb


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) VIENNA, Jan 15 (KUNA) -- The price of the OPEC crudes went up by USD 1.13 to settle at USD 81.86 per barrel Friday, as opposed to USD 80.73 pb last Thursday, said the international oil cartel on Monday.
According to the OPEC bulletin, the average oil price of the cartel basket in 2022 was at USD 82.07 per barrel.
The last OPEC+ online ministerial meeting on December fourth decided to keep the decreased production levels at two million barrels per day.
The decision was made due to the uncertainty surrounding the globally economy and the oil market.
According to the latest OPEC report, the demand for oil remain unchanged in the beginning of this year, reaching 29.2 million barrels per day, an increase by 600,000 barrels from the same period in 2022. (end)
