Turkish shares unaffected at Thursday's start


(MENAFN) Turkey’s main share index started at 4.823,33 points on Thursday, decreased 0.08 percent, or 3.7 points, from the prior end.

Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index dropped 3.46 percent to end the Thursday’s sessions standing at 4,827.04 points, with a day to day exchanging volume of 110 billion Turkish liras (USD5.89 billion).

The US dollar/Turkish lira trading price standing at 18.6449 as of 10.14 A M regional time (07:14GMT), the euro/lira trading price stood at 19.6011, whereas a British pound exchanged for 22.7521 liras.

International benchmark Brent crude sold at USD78.27 a barrel at 10.21 AM regional time (0721 GMT), rising 1.43 percent from the ending price of USD77.17 per barrel in the prior selling session.

At the same time, American main West Texas Intermediate (WTI) exchanged at USD73.16 a barrel, a 1.60 percent earning following the prior day ended at USD72.01 per barrel. Whereas the price of an ounce of gold was USD1,797.45.
