(MENAFN) Chinese leader Xi Jinping stated Wednesday that his nation and Saudi Arabia have “enhanced strategic mutual trust” when he reached in Saudi Arabia capital, Riyadh, to join the initial China-Arab States Summit as well as the China-GCC Summit.
Xi is going to also pay a state trip to Saudi Arabia at the request of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
In an announcement, China’s Foreign Ministry stated Xi extended warm greetings as well as best wishes to the administration and citizens of Saudi Arabia in support of the Chinese administration and people.
“In 2016, the two countries established a comprehensive strategic partnership,” as said in the announcement.
Adding that “President Xi Jinping noted that he has since then worked with King Salman to steer bilateral relations on a path of significant progress, which has not only delivered benefits to both peoples but also effectively promoted regional peace, stability, prosperity and development.”
