Shmyhal, Morawiecki Discuss Consequences Of Russian Missile Attack On Ukraine

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) The Prime Ministers of Ukraine and Poland, Denys Shmyhal and Mateusz Morawiecki, in a phone conversation discussed today's Russian missile attack against Ukraine.

The head of the Polish government wrote this on Twitter on Monday, Ukrinform reports.

“Russia carried out another massive attack on civilian facilities and critical infrastructure in Ukraine, carrying a high death toll. I spoke with Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal about the tragic results. The international community must continue to provide humanitarian and defense aid to Ukraine,” he wrote.

As reported, Russian missiles hit energy facilities in Kyiv, Vinnytsia and Odesa regions on December 5. Despite this, the country's power grid is functioning. In some regions, emergency shutdowns are in place in order to balance the system and avoid accidents.

Ukraine's defense forces shot down over 60 out of more than 70 missiles fired by Russian forces at Ukraine.
