Tehran experience 6.8 percent rise in housing price


(MENAFN) Average housing price surged by 6.8 percent in the capital Tehran throughout the latest Iranian calendar month Aban (closed on November 21), in comparison with the prior month, as shown by a report by the Central Bank of Iran (CBI).

According to the CBI figures, the average cost for one square meter of a housing unit in Tehran reached 467 million rials (nearly USD1,610) throughout the stated month.

In line with the reports, the amount of real estate contracts reached nearly 8,000 in Tehran in the eighth month of this year, surging 47.8 percent as well as 9.6 percent in comparison with the prior month in addition to the same month in the last year, individually.

As earlier mentioned in reports by the Central Bank of Iran, the average residential price jumped by 16 percent in the capital Tehran throughout the previous month of the last Iranian calendar year 1400 (closed on March 20), in comparison with the same month in the prior year.
