Over 9,400 Ukrainian Civilians Already Killed By Russian Shelling, Including 461 Children - Official


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) More than 9,400 civilians have already been killed by Russian shelling.

This was reported by Yevhen yenin , First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Ukrinform reports with reference to the Ministry's Communication Department.

'According to the National Police, more than 9,400 civilians were killed and nearly 6,800 were injured. Unfortunately, there are also children among them: since the Russian invasion of Ukraine, 461 children have died,' Yenin said.

According to the deputy minister, police officers are recording in the territories liberated by the Ukrainian troops more and more crimes committed by enemy forces. The enemy has been shelling these areas the hardest. The civilian population is suffering due to Russia's terrorist attacks so the death toll is increasing daily.

As Yenin reported, the enemy continues to attack critical infrastructure. Currently, there is no energy supply to 507 settlements in eight regions of Ukraine.

Kharkiv region is affected the most as 112 settlements there are in a blackout. In Donetsk and Kherson regions, it's
more than 90 settlements each, as well as 82 in Mykolaiv region, 76 in Zaporizhia region, and 43 in Luhansk region.

'As soon as the Russians escaped from Kherson, they started firing on civilians on a daily basis. Investigative units of the National Police in the de-occupied territory of Kherson region have already documented about 600 war crimes. In Kharkiv region, which is being shelled almost the most, investigators have documented 3,400 war crimes. In the past day alone, 41 facts were registered. Nearly 900 bodies have already been found in the de-occupied territories of Kharkiv region, of which 700 are civilians, more than 80 are military, and more than 100 are Russian military. Also, 111 bodies were found in Kherson region, 75 of them are civilians,' said the first deputy head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

He also reported that the police continue their work in the de-occupied territories to identify enemy collaborators. In particular, about 13,000 individuals were vetted in Kherson region, of which 161 were detained on suspicion of cooperation with the occupation forces, espionage, or collaborative activities.
