Oji: Iraq has established entire gas shipments arrears to Iran

(MENAFN) Iranian Oil Minister Javad Oji stated that Iran has collected around 1.6 billion euros of Iraq’s arrears, associated to its gas shipment into nation from the Islamic Republic, in the present Iranian calendar year (started on March 21), as reported by Shana.

While giving a speech between journalists on the offshoots of a cabinet gathering on Wednesday, Oji mentioned that his ministry had also collected around 1 billion euros of Iraq’s debt to Iran for gas import in 2021.

The oil ministry in the 13th administration under leader Raisi has up to now used all its potential as well as abilities in materializing the aims of the nation’s oil industry, he stressed.

The ministry has also taken large strides with robust energy diplomacy and achieved to conclude oil sales agreements with many nations such as the Latin American states, the minister mentioned.

Oji underlined that Iran’s gas shipment to Iraq has surged by 1.5 billion cubic meters in the ongoing year in comparison to the prior year.
