(MENAFN) The worth of shipment from Khuzestan district in the southwest of Iran jumped by 12 percent in the first 8 months of the ongoing Iranian calendar year (21/3-21/11), in comparison with the same span of time in the previous year, a representative with the province’s customs department declared.
Behrouz Qareh-Beygi stated that 11.382 million tons of goods value of USD 4.708 billion were shipped from the district in the 8 months time span, representing 8 percent expansion in terms of mass on a yearly basis.
He labeled polyethylene, parazilin, steel ingot, ammonia, methanol, fruit, summer clothes, construction materials, plastic outputs, petrochemicals, clinker, factory service goods, sulfur as well as urea as the major shipped items and China, United Arab Emirates, Iraq, Turkey in addition to India as the main shipment destinations.
The representative also declared that 11.722 million tons of goods value of USD6.92 billion have been imported to the region in the opening 8 months of the present year, indicating one percent surge in terms of worth on a yearly basis.
