Twitter blue verified will be launched on Apple’s iOS app

(MENAFN) Twitter Inc’s Blue verified service is planned to be launched on Friday, but only on Apple’s iOS mobile software, the Information showed on Tuesday, quoting a person informed on the strategies.

As Twitter wants to launch the subscription offering through an update to Twitter’s iOS app, Apple must give the green light as part of the standard app review process, the report read, saying that the business would update its Android app later.

Twitter did not immediately reply to a Reuters call for comment.

This comes a day following new boss Elon Musk blamed Apple of threatening to ban the Twitter from its app store without mentioning the reason in a series of tweets that also stated the iPhone maker had stopped advertising on the social media platform.

The billionaire boss of Twitter and Tesla made a statement that Apple was forcing Twitter over content moderation requests.
