Iran, Turkmenistan highlights growth of relations in electricity, water industries


(MENAFN) Iranian Energy Minister Ali-Akbar Mehrabian as well as Turkmen leader Serdar Berdimuhamedow held a meeting in Ashgabat on Wednesday and underlined the importance to grow collaboration in the electricity and water industries among the two nations.

As mentioned in reports issued by the Iranian Energy Ministry’s news portal, Paven, the two nations talked about the extension of the current two sided deals in the stated industries.

The continuation of electricity trade among the two nations, the probability of Turkmenistan's electricity transit, the improvement of collaboration in the sector of electricity, dredging of the Harirud and Atrak rivers, as well as the collaboration among Iran and Turkmenistan in the ground work of the three way partnership deal among Iran, Turkmenistan, in addition to Afghanistan around the Harirud river were between the highest priority subjects of discussions is the stated gathering of the Iranian energy minister and Turkmen leader.
