Turkish economy surges 3.9 percent in July-September period


(MENAFN) Turkey’s economy saw a surge of 3.9 percent in the July-September of this year on a year on year basis, as shown by official data issued on Wednesday.

The nation’s gross domestic output at present costs amounted to 4.26 trillion Turkish liras (USD241.5 billion) in the third quarter time span, the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) showed.

An Anadolu Agency survey this week estimated that the nation’s economy might surge 3.9 percent in the stated quarter.

The nation’s economy grew 7.5 percent and 7.7 percent, individually, in the first and second quarters, while added 11.4 percent last year.
