(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Nov 29 (KUNA) -- Director General of Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) Dr. Fatma Al-Salem met with Egyptian Ambassador to Kuwait Osama Shaltout, Tuesday, and discussed ways to enhance media cooperation between the two countries.
During Dr. Al-Salem's reception of Shaltout in her office, she affirmed the depth of the bilateral ties, pointing out her keenness to cooperate and exchange media expertise and build on the media achievements and joint cooperation between the two countries.
She affirmed KUNA's readiness to provide all capabilities and expertise to facilitating cooperation with Middle East News Agency.
Shaltout congratulated Dr. Al-Salem on assuming the position of KUNA's General Director, praising the media role of the agency and its credibility and accuracy, pointing out to the Egyptian side's readiness to cooperate and exchange expertise in the media field.
He also praised the great role of Kuwaiti women in various international forums and discussed the challenges facing the media in confronting rumors considering the widespread of social media.
The meeting was attended by KUNA Deputy Director General for editorial sector Esam Al-Ghanim, Deputy Director General for Administration, Financial and Communications Sector Mohammad Al-Mannae, and Director of the Marketing and Public Relations Department Esam Al-Ruwaih. (end)
