Morning traffic whizzed by on the bridge over Biscayne Bay as guests congregated on the perez art museum miami 's patio munching on breakfast hors d'oeuvres. Cruise ships were docked in the distance across the water and a giant yellow figure emerged from the gravel sand clutching a white Porsche 911 Carrera. “Dream Big” is a project close to the Scottish artist's heart. He often uses cars as an inspiration or medium in his multimedia works.“Car enthusiasts usually start young,” he said, sitting on the stairs as attendees posed for photos in front of his sculpture.

“It starts super early and stays with them,” he continued.“Cars are probably the only things that still make me feel like a child. I have a Porsche and that's how I use it. That's how I treat it, basically a toy. It's just a simple emotional, pleasurable object. And that's kind of where this idea came from.”
