Kuwait Attends UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage Talks In Rabat

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) RABAT, Nov 28 (KUNA) -- Kuwait took part in a UNESCO Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage meeting at Morocco's capital, Rabat, on Monday.
The participation comes from the 'importance' the Gulf Arab country attaches to the matter, delegation head and Kuwait's permanent UNESCO representative, Ambassador Adam Al-Mulla, told KUNA.
It hopes that a list of potential intangible cultural heritage are approved at the session or coming sessions, added the diplomat.
Kuwait's AlSadu Weaving Cooperative Society, at the talks, presented the file for 'best conservation practices,' Chairperson Sheikha Bibi Duaij Al-Jaber Al-Ali Al-Sabah said, hoping it receives the required number of votes by UNESCO committee members.
The society is a non-profit, self-sustained organisation, dedicated to the preservation, documentation and promotion of Kuwait's rich and diverse bedouin textile heritage. (end)
