Seven More Grain Ships Leave Ukrainian Ports Infrastructure Ministry


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Seven ships carrying 248,000 tonnes of agricultural products for Asia and Europe have departed from Ukraine's Black Sea ports.

Ukraine's Infrastructure Ministry said this in a statement on telegram , Ukrinform reports.

According to the ministry, 740,000 tonnes of Ukrainian agricultural products are being loaded onto 19 more ships.

In total, 501 ships have delivered 12.2 million tonnes of grain and foodstuffs from Ukrainian ports to countries in Asia, Europe and Africa since August 1.

Ukraine, Turkey and UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres signed the Initiative on the Safe Transportation of Grain and Foodstuffs from the ports of Odesa, Chornomorsk and Pivdennyi in Istanbul on July 22. The first ship with Ukrainian grain left the port of Odesa on August 1.

Ukraine, the United Nations and Turkey agreed in Istanbul on November 17 to extend the Black Sea Grain Initiative for another 120 days.
