ICCIMA eager to launch transport consortium with Kazakhstan


(MENAFN) Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (ICCIMA) has showed eagerness to create a mutual transport consortium with Kazakhstan and to establish a regular RO-RO service among the ports of the two nations, an official with the chamber mentioned in a statement.

Behnam Faramarzian, the director of transport and TIR Carnets at ICCIMA, made the statement in a gathering with a Kazakh exchange and transport representative ruled by the nation’s Deputy Minister of Trade and Integration Kulbatyrov Nurlan Naizabekovich at the place of ICCIMA in Tehran, as reported by the ICCIMA portal on Friday.

While giving a speech in the conference, Naizabekovich stated that the Kazakhstan Leader’s latest trip to Iran and mentioned: “One of Kazakhstan’s main goals in the region is to develop transit cooperation with Iran.”

Talking about the aimed at three billion dollars of yearly exchange by the two nations’ administration, the deputy minister mentioned “Although the capacity of Iran’s export to Kazakhstan is very high, a small number of Iranian commodities enter Kazakhstan; However, those goods have had positive feedback among Kazakh consumers.”
