TEDPIX ends Saturday 1,979 points lower


(MENAFN) TEDPIX, the benchmark index of Tehran Stock Exchange (TSE), decreased 1,979 points to 1.408 million on Saturday.

As mentioned in reports, more than 6.303 billion securities valued at 34.011 trillion rials (around USD117.6 million) were exchanged at the TSE.

The first market’s index dropped 1,651 points, and the second market’s index declined by 3,361 points.

TEDPIX fell 3,000 points to 1.410 million in the last Iranian calendar week (closed on Friday).

The index had surged 131,000 points (10.21 percent) to 1.414 million points in the Iranian calendar week closed on the 11th of November.

According to reports, it was the peakiest weekly increase throughout the ongoing Iranian calendar year (started on the 21st of March).

Following a long span of time of decrease, the share market transactions finally came back to the rising cycle from the last two weeks and within the effect of the verdicts taken by the administration as well as the Securities and Exchange Organization (SEO), and surged the hope of stockholders to finance once more in this market as well as to gain a reasonable gain from it.
