Shura Council Participates In Preparatory Meetings For Plenary Session Of Arab Parliament In Cairo


(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) Cairo, November 24, 2022, SPA -- The Shura Council participated in the work of the meetings of the four permanent committees of the Arab Parliament, which began today in Cairo, in preparation for the plenary session of the parliament scheduled to be held next Saturday at the headquarters of the Arab League.
The Foreign and Political Affairs and National Security Committee discussed a presentation on political and security developments in the Arab world during the period between the two meetings, in addition to an initial draft of the axes of the report on the political situation in the Arab world.
The Legislative, Legal and Human Rights Affairs Committee reviewed the second draft of the report on the state of human rights in the Arab world for the year 2021.
The Economic and Financial Affairs Committee dealt with the draft report on the economic situation in the Arab countries for the year 2021.
The Committee on Social, Educational, Cultural, Women and Youth Affairs also discussed a memorandum on developments in the preparation of an Arab guiding draft law to combat domestic violence.
The committees submitted their final reports and draft resolutions on agenda items to the plenary session of the Arab Parliament, scheduled to be held next Saturday at the headquarters of the Arab League.
