KABUL (Pajhwok): Germany has pledged 90 million euros in humanitarian assistance to Afghanistan.
The German Embassy for Afghanistan in Doha tweeted:“Following the dire humanitarian situation in Afghanistan, Germany has increased its humanitarian aid to Afghanistan by 90 million euros.”
It added the assistance was free and would be implemented through the World Food Programme and UNDP.
According to the embassy, the total amount of aid provided by Germany to Afghanistan this year reached 331 million euros, which has been implemented by the United Nations, the Red Cross and other NGOs.
