(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) RIYADH, Nov 24 (KUNA) -- The main road Makkah-Jeddah has been shut amid unprecedented rain swamping large swaths of territories in the Makkah region, the region local authority said on Thursday.
King Abdulaziz Airport for its part declared that arrival schedule of a number of planes has been adjourned due to the extraordinary weather conditions. It also declared delay of take-off schedules for a number of flights.
The heavy rain falling on the kingdom today has caused closure of roads and tunnels. (end)
