Iran, Qatar officials meet to grow, reinforce cooperation


(MENAFN) Chief of the Institute of Standards and Industrial Research of Iran (ISIRI) Mehdi Eslam-Panah has stated that his association is going to grow collaboration with its Qatari fellow with the aim of accelerating reaching the target of USD5 billion yearly exchange among the two nations.

Eslam-Panah made the comments following a gathering with Chief of Qatar General Organization for Standards and Metrology Nawaf Ibrahim Al-Hamad Al-Mana on the offshoots of the 17th General Assembly of Standards and Metrology Institute for Islamic Countries (SMIIC) in Turkey, Istanbul, as mentioned in a report by IRIB issued on Wednesday.

The representative stated that “Close cooperation in the fields of standardization, conformity assessment, qualification, and metrology can help in achieving the five-billion-dollar trade turnover goal between Iran and Qatar.”

In the gathering, Eslam-Panah highlighted the continuation of impactful and two-sided communication as a prerequisite for reinforcement and growing collaboration among the two nations.
