(MENAFN) Output of crude steel in Iran surged by nine percent in the initial 10 months of this year, in comparison with the same span of time in the last year, as shown by the most recent report issued by the World Steel Association (WSA).
The WSA figures recorded the nation’s 10-month crude steel output at 25.1 million tons, IRNA mentioned in a report.
The report indicates that Iran’s crude steel production has also surged by 3.5 percent last month in contrast with the same month last year, amounting 2.9 million tons.
The glob’s 64 steel producers achieved to output 1,552,700,000 tons of steel in the first 10 months of this year, 3.9 percent lower than the number for the prior year’s same time span.
In the meantime, the world’s highest steel-producing nations outputted 147.3 million tons of crude steel last month, showing no change in comparison with the same month in 2021.
According to the WSA report, China, India, Japan, the U.S., as well as Russia were the highest steel producers across the whole world, respectively.
