(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Nov 23 (KUNA) -- National Assembly Speaker Ahmad Al-Saadoun received on Wednesday Chairman of Foreign Affairs Committee in the US Senate, Senator Mike Menendez.
During the reception, bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries, as well as issues of common interest, according to Al-Dustor news network.
The meeting was attended by Chairman of the Assembly's Foreign Affairs Committee MP Abdullah Al-Mudhaf and committee member MP Dr. Abdulkareem Al-Kanderi.
Acting Charge d'Affairs of the US Embassy James Holtsnider was present at the meeting.
Earlier, Speaker Al-Saadoun discussed issues of common concern with visiting Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammad Al-Sudani; who left the country later in the day after a one-day official visit. (end)
