(MENAFN) Based on the official data released on Wednesday by the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS), daily electricity usage in Turkey soared by 2.2 percent on Tuesday in comparison to the day before, standing at 845,278 megawatts per hours.
According to TEIAS data, the nation's electricity consumption peaked at 40,086 megawatts per hours per hour at 11 p.m. regional time (0800 GMT) and fell to 28,007 megawatts per hours per hour at 5 a.m. regional time.
On Tuesday, 831,100 megawatts per hours of electricity were produced, a 1.68 percent rise from Monday.
Natural gas and lignite factories contributed by 21.6 percent and 15.4 percent of the total generation, correspondingly, whereas imported coal factories comprised by 28.2 percent of it.
The nation's electricity exports on Tuesday were 7,792 megawatts per hours, while its imports were 21,970 megawatts per hours.
