(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) ABU DHABI, Nov 17 (KUNA) -- The UAE capital witnessed on Thursday the conclusion of the Global Media Congress, a forum which brought together media personnel, experts and social media influencers to discuss ways to enhance media business connections and innovation.
Held under the slogan 'Shaping the Future of the Media Industry,' the event grouped over 192 international media companies and institutions from 42 countries, attracting more than 13,000 visitors in three days amid the participation of over 1,200 media figures.
The event's closing was held under the auspices of Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, according to Emirates News Agency, WAM.
It witnessed the signing of more than 10 cooperation agreements between local Emirati and international media institutions, alongside the launch of specialised innovations in the media sector.
Its agenda included 40 dialogue sessions and more than 30 workshops, in which 162 speakers participated. It also saw the launch of media innovations, debates and a group of specialised sessions dedicated to the fields of journalism, radio, television, the internet, social communication and global influencers.
Those partaking in the event included Kuwait state-run news agency, KUNA, which had publications and information about itself and other international media bodies on display.
KUNA's delegation comprised Mohammed Al-Mannai, Deputy Director General for Finance, Administration and Communications, Public Relations Director Essam Al-Ruwayeh and several other Public Relations employees. (end)
