MCIT Attends Arab E-Government Programme Directors Meeting

Doha: The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) participated in the Tenth Arab e-government programme directors meeting organized by the Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) at the United Nations House in Beirut on November 14-15, in conjunction with the governmental meeting of Committee on Technology for Development. MCIT was represented in the meeting by Mashael Ali Al Hammadi, Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Information Technology Affairs at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, via video calling (online). 

The meeting focus on the initiatives of the Arab countries in the field of digital government programmes and coordination on related policies and measures in the Arab region, in addition to discussing the challenges facing national digital government programmes, opportunities for joint efforts in developing these programmes, and best practices in the implementation of digital government transformation, as well as presenting ESCWA activities in the field of evaluation National digital development. 

During her participation in the session on the initiatives of the Arab member states in government digital transformation within the e-government directors' meeting, Mashael Ali Al Hammadi reviewed the achievements of the Qatar digital government strategy as well as the projects and programs launched by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology to accelerate the process of digital transformation in Qatar.

Maitha Mubarak Al Jabr Al Nuaimi, Acting Assistant Undersecretary for the affairs of the Office of the President of the Supreme Judiciary Council, reviewed the digital transformation projects in the judicial system.
