Gunfight Kills 2 Soldiers In N. Pakistan - Army


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) ISLAMABAD, Nov 16 (KUNA) -- At least two soldiers of Pakistani army were killed during a gunfight with militants in Pakistanآ's northern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province bordering Afghanistan, said military on Wednesday.
According to Pakistan militaryآ's media wing Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), two soldiers of Pakistan army were killed in the Hilal Khel areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwaآ's Bajaur district during a gunfight with 'terrorists'.
It confirmed that during the intense exchange of fire one militant was killed, it said, adding that 'weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the killed terrorist'.
Earlier in the day, at least six policemen were killed after a police mobile patrol came under gunfire in Pakistanآ's northern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
The attack came at a time when the police were conducting a routine patrol in the Shahab Khel area of Lakki Marwat district in KPK province bordering Afghanistan. (end)
