Bangladesh- - Indigo Launches Flights On Dhaka-Mumbai Route

Dhaka : Indian carrier IndiGo started operating flights on Dhaka-Mumbai-Dhaka route from October 30, 2022.
Carrying 177 passengers, the maiden flight of IndiGo departed Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the capital at 2:35 pm, said reports.
The airlines, headquartered in Gurgaon, Haryana, will operate four weekly flights on the route.
On every Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday, the flight will depart Dhaka at 2:35 pm.
From Mumbai, the flight will depart for Dhaka at 10:15 am local time and will land at HSIA at 1:35 pm local time, said IndiGo in a release.
Roundtrip airfare on the route will start from BDT 24,000 while the one-way fare will start from BDT 15,000.
IndiGo is also the largest individual Asian low-cost carrier in terms of fleet size and passengers.
The airline operates 1,800 daily flights to 96 destinations -which includes 71 domestic and 25 international as it is shown in the website of the airline. IndiGo has more than 50 per cent market share in the Indian Domestic market.
Before the Dhaka-Mumbai route, IndiGo had been flying passengers directly to Chennai, Kolkata, and New Delhi from Dhaka.
