Iran: Shipment from Mazandaran district surges 2 percent in 7 months YoY


(MENAFN) The worth of shipment from Mazandaran province, in the north of Iran, saw an increase of two percent in the opening seven months of the ongoing Iranian calendar year (March 21-October 22), in comparison with the same span of time in the last year, an official with the customs department of the province declared.

Asgar Niknafs asserted that 636,740 tons of goods valued at USD161.26 million have been shipped from the province in the seven-month time span, indicating 24 percent surge in terms of mass on a year on year basis.

He stated that the following which are: dairy outputs, plastic materials, cement, food outputs, metals as well as their artifacts, outputs from mineral materials, wood and wooden matters, paper, textile materials on top of artifacts from these materials, in addition to chemical industry output as the main shipped items, while he named Iraq, Russia, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as the major destinations for shipments.
