Srinagar- Radio Mirchi 98.3 in association with Mission E, a renowned coaching center conducted a month-long scholarship campaign in the Kashmir valley.
During the campaign, students from across Kashmir valley were counselled about career opportunities and were also entertained via fun interactive sessions with RJ Mehak, RJ Vijdan, and RJ Rafia from Mirchi 98.3 as they visited schools.
“The idea behind the Scholarship 983 campaign is to provide support, guidance, and opportunity to students in the valley amidst an ever-increasing merit and competition” the organizers said.
The campaign culminated with the scholarship test. Amid biting cold, hundreds of students took part in the Scholarship test conducted at three centers – Kashmir Harvard in Srinagar, Oxford Presentation School in Anantnag, and SRM Welkin in Baramulla. The top three performers in the test will win prizes worth Rs. 1,00,000, 50,000, and 25,000, respectively.
Apart from the cash prizes, the top 15 performers in the test will get a free tuition for a year worth 60,000. The test was conducted successfully, amidst all the candidates filled with passion and excitement about the opportunity.
“The result and the list of winners will be announced soon” the organizers said.
“For scholarship 983, Mirchi collaborated with mission E, with an aim to provide students with opportunities on the basis of hard work and not privilege” popular RJ Mehak from Radio Mirchi said.
“While interacting with students I realized that the students have a great potential and the opportunities should match that. I think this is a great way to move forward,” She added.
