Trump's Truth Social has been approved for Google Play store

(MENAFN) The Alphabet Inc., according to a corporate representative, Google has cleared former US President Donald Trump's social networking app Truth Social for distribution in the Google Play Store.

The app will be accessible on the Google Play Store soon, according to Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG), which owns Truth Social. TMTG did not reply quickly to a request for comment.

According to a Google spokesman in August, Truth Social, which debuted in the US on the Apple App Store in February, was previously unavailable in the Play Store owing to insufficient content filtering. Google has voiced concerns to Truth Social about potential breaches of its Play Store regulations, which ban physical threats and encouragement to violence.

Most smartphone users cannot download Truth Social without using the Google or Apple shops.

Google's Play Store is the primary method for Android phone users in the United States to obtain apps. Android users may obtain apps from competing shops or straight from a website, however this frequently necessitates additional procedures and security restrictions. Truth Social has been available through these channels despite Google's removal of it from the Play Store.
