Al Shaqab Signs Mou With Ministry Of Municipality's Animal Resources Department

Doha: Al Shaqab, announced the signing of an MOU with Ministry of Municipality's Animal Resources Department, an advanced Equestrian facility in Qatar.

The MoU was signed by Engineer Abdulaziz Al Ziyara, Director of the Animal Resources Department at the Ministry of Municipality and Saif Al Nuaimi, Operations Manager representing Al Shaqab.

The MoU seeks to support the collaboration between the two parties to achieve the accreditation of World Organization for Animal Health (WOAH) for EVMC's laboratory. 

This will elevate EVMC's lab become an approved lab for horse diseases in the Middle East, including infectious and epidemic disease in horses, and horse diseases resulting from travel.

The MoU will support training and advancement of technical competencies of individuals who work in the equestrian field in Qatar and in the area of equine diagnosis through the execution of training programs, planning and organising workshops related to animal health, and laboratory testing for equine diseases, exchange statistical data of equine epidemic disease as well as research insights between both parties.

“It is our pleasure to announce this important partnership with the Ministry of Municipality which will help us achieve the accreditation of World Organization for Animal Health (WOAH) for EVMC's laboratory, through a successful collaboration and advanced the health care services provided for equine owners. There is no doubt that the areas of collaboration will positively result in diverse and important achievements for EVMC and the Ministry of Municipality,” said Al Nuaimi. 

Al Ziyara, Director of the Animal Resources Department, said:“With Al Shaqab as our progressive partner, we are happy to celebrate the signing this MOU, between the Ministry of Municipality's Animal Resources Department for the advancement equestrian scientific research and development field in Qatar. We hope that this MoU sets the path to continues fruitful collaborations between the two parties.”
