Doha: The fourth round of the Qatar Equestrian Tour – Longines Hathab Season Six will get underway today, with the opening day scheduled to witness dressage competitions at the Qatar Equestrian Federation (QEF) Indoor Arena.

Maryam Ahmad Al Boinin is leading the standings in Level 1 and Level 2 after she claimed victories in the two categories in the inaugural round of dressage on September 15. She rode Silvan to top Level 1 victory, before guiding 13-year-old Vol De Nuit Tardonne to win in Level 2.

Today's action will begin following the mandatory Vet Check.

Meanwhile, teenager Haya Khalid Al Hitmi will look to consolidate her top spot in the 14-leg Small Tour, which will be competed tomorrow. The 14-year old has accumulated 82 points from the first three rounds, nine clear of second-placed Jassim Al Jaham Al Kuwari. Mohammed Rashid Al Amri is third in the standings with 70 points.

“My target is to continue getting points in every round and I don't aim for victory in every round,” Haya said after the third round.

“My target is to win overall title in the Small Tour and I am looking forward to be consistent in my performance,” she added.

The Medium Tour, which is also scheduled to take place tomorrow, is witnessing tough competition for the overall lead with Mohammed Saeed Haidan on top with 75 points, just three points ahead of Khalifa Abdulla Al Khaldi. Hussain Saeed Haidan is third in the standings with 68 points.

After the completion of three rounds, Team Alfardan is leading the Team standings with 87 points followed by Team ExxonMobil (75 points) and Al Salam Store (69 points).

Saturday's action will see the Big Tour, which is led by Mohammed Khalifa Albaker after his three successive victories. He will take a strong lead of 15 points over Cyrine Cherif and Sheikh Khalifa Al Thani, who are joint second with 75 points each.

Also on Saturday, Open Tour will be competed with Cherif looking to give a strong show after her victory in the third round last week.

Meanwhile, Manager of Media Committee Abdullah Al Qashouti said the Organising Committee of Longines Hathab decided this season's competitions early this year to allow the riders to prepare well for the season that will take a break for the forthcoming FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
