IRGC chief: Operations in Kurdistan will carry on till terrorists are disarmed


(MENAFN) The Israeli government is using anti-revolutionary bases in northern Iraq on Iran, the commander of the IRGC ground force has stated, claiming operations aimed at terrorist groups will carry on until they are deactivated.

In an interview televised on Monday, Brigadier General Mohammad Pakpour publicized that the militaries under his command have reached 40 terrorist aims with tens of suicide drones.

“Separatist elements of Komala and Democrats have made actions against our country in the past years. They sent teams to carry out terrorist activities inside our country, but most of these teams were identified and destroyed after entering the territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran. In addition, from 2016 onwards, these separatist groups started to establish operational bases and training centers in the northern region of Iraq,” Pakpour added.

He went on to say that because of the aforementioned actions, Iran has regularly and officially uttered its protest to the experts in the Iraqi Kurdistan Region (KRG) regarding the activities of these factions.
