President Raeisi: Enemies' effort to restrict Iran failed

(MENAFN) Iran's President Ebrahim Raeisi claims that the adversaries' newest plot to stymie the country's growth has failed.

Raeisi said in a meeting on Sunday that "the death of Ms. [Mahsa] Amini is being properly probed" by the competent state organizations, referring to recent Western media hype against the Islamic Republic.

“The enemy is trying, through extensive media measures, to divert the public opinion. We see that a group of Afghan girls are killed at an educational facility by terrorists who have the US support, but there is no reaction from those who claim [to be advocating human rights],” Raeisi stated.

“Under these conditions, does the West’s claim of being concerned about human rights and the rights of women seem acceptable?”

According to the UN, at least 35 people were killed and 82 were injured in Friday's attack at the Kaaj education center in Kabul's Dasht-e-Barchi area. The terrorist incident occurred in the women's portion of a gender-segregated study hall where hundreds of students were taking a mock university entrance exam.
