Conference on ICAO air services negotiations will be held in KSA next year


(MENAFN) In order to advance in the aviation industry in line with its Vision 2030 ambitions, Saudi Arabia is going to host the 15th International Conference on Air Services Negotiations of the International Civil Aviation Organization in December 2023 in Riyadh.

The conference is going to be a crucial forum for member governments to debate ways of organizing and regulating the air transport industry, according to Saleh Al-Jasser, Saudi Arabia's Minister of Transport and Logistics, according to Saudi Press Agency.

Al-Jasser also mentioned, “choosing the Kingdom to host the International Conference on Air Services Negotiations 2023 is an affirmation of the Kingdom’s position and its effective contributions in the aviation sector at the global level, and in appreciation of its efforts to enhance air connectivity in line with the National Strategy for Transport and Logistics Services, which is based on the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.”

Saudi Arabia has also been chosen to serve on the ICAO Council for the years 2023-2024-2025. On the other hand, the choice was decided at the organization's 41st General Assembly, which took place in Montreal, Canada.
