Another 11 Ships Carrying Agri Products Depart From Ukrainian Seaports


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) As part of the 'grain initiative' project, eleven ships loaded with 217,600 tonnes of agricultural products bound for Africa, Asia, and Europe left the seaports of Odesa, Chornomorsk, and Pivdennyi on Saturday, October 1.

That's according to the , Ukrinform reports.

The QUEEN LILA bulker, which is transporting 29,000 tonnes of barley, is heading for Libya from the port of Odesa. The STELLINA, INANDI and SAM vessels have also departed from the said port, the ministry's press service reported on Facebook.

The FORTUNE EXPRESS, PS DREAM, LILA II, and BARON bulk carriers left the port of Chornomorsk, while LADY DIVINA, AHMED CAN, and IASOS left the port of Pivdennyi.

Since the departure of the first ship carrying Ukrainian food, including today's vessels, 5.7 million tonnes of agricultural products have been exported.

A total of 252 ships left Ukrainian ports, loaded with agricultural products bound for Asia, Europe, and Africa.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, on July 22, in Istanbul, at the proposal of the United Nations, the initiative was signed by Ukraine, Turkey, Russia, and UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres on the safe transportation of grain and other food products from the ports of Odesa, Chornomorsk, and Pivdennyi.
