Pentagon releases "full" inventory of its military assistance to Ukraine

(MENAFN) Thousands of anti-tank systems, slightly under one million artillery rounds, and a variety of heavy and long-range weapon platforms are among the approximately USD17 billion in weapons and equipment that the Pentagon has approved for Ukraine so far this year.

According to the Defense Department's "Fact Sheet on US Security Assistance to Ukraine," Washington has authorized USD16.9 billion in military assistance for Kiev this year, the great majority of which came after Moscow moved soldiers into the neighboring nation in late February.

The list also includes approximately 988,000 Howitzer rounds, 60 million rounds of small-arms ammunition, and tens of thousands of mortars, rockets, and grenades. It also includes more than 1,400 Stinger anti-aircraft systems, over 8,500 Javelin anti-tank weapons, and 32,000 other anti-armor platforms.

More than 150 pieces of artillery, 20 Mi-17 helicopters, 200 M113 Armored Personnel Carriers, hundreds of Humvees, and 16 High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS), one of the longest-range platforms provided by Washington to date, are just a few of the heavy weapons that the Pentagon has also sent.
