Arab League Condemns Missile Strike In Norther Iraq


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) CAIRO, Sept 29 (KUNA) -- Arab League Secretary General Ahmad Abul Gheit condemned on Thursday Iran's missile-drone strikes that took place over the past days targeting many areas in Kurdistan region norther Iraq, resulting in a a number of deaths and injuries.
He expressed in a statement his total rejection of such Iranian violations of the Iraqi sovereignty, calling on Iran to respect the international law and good neighbliness principles, and to stop undermining regional stability and security.
Meanwhile, the Arab League expressed its solidarity and support to Iraq in encountering all foreign violations, which also threaten stability and security of the region, it added.
Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed yesterday its responsibility for the missile strike targeting Kurdistan region northern Iraq, while the Iraqi Foreign Ministry decried this aggressive attack, considering it as a dangerous act that threatens security and stability of the country.
