(MENAFN) Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) data released on Thursday shows that the nation’s daily electricity usage soared by 1.67 percent on Wednesday in comparison to the day before, standing at 884,419 megawatts per hours.
According to TEIAS figures, the peak hourly power usage was 41,405 megawatts per hours at 03:00 regional time (1200 GMT). At 5:00 a.m. regional time, the nation's power consumption reached its lowest point of 30,266 megawatts per hours (0200 GMT).
On Wednesday, 872,825 megawatts per hours of electricity were produced, a rise of 1.69 percent over Tuesday.
Natural gas power factories comprised by 22.5 percent of the entire amount of electricity produced, while imported coal and wind power factories constituted by 22.2 percent and 14.9 percent, correspondingly.
The nation's power exports on Wednesday totaled 8,941 megawatts per hours, while its imports came to 20,536 megawatts per hours.
