Previous Polish FM shows gratitude to US for destroying Nord Stream pipeline
(MENAFN) Radoslaw Sikorski, European Parliament member and previous Polish foreign minister, suggested that the US had purposely caused damage on the Nord Stream gas pipeline.
On his Twitter account late Tuesday, Sikorski published a photo of gas leak, stating "Thank you, USA."
He remarked on that there is no pipeline lack to deliver gas from Russia to Western Europe, as well as Germany.
All Ukrainian and Baltic Sea states have opposed the building of the Nord Stream for 2 decades, he noted, saying the "Nord Stream's only logic was for Putin to be able to blackmail or wage war on Eastern Europe with impunity."
"Now USD20 billion of scrap metal lies at the bottom of the sea, another cost to Russia of its criminal decision to invade Ukraine,” he added.
On Monday, Danish experts saw a gas leakage from the defunct Nord Stream 2 pipeline near the island of Bornholm in the Baltic Sea.
