(MENAFN) Based on the official data released by the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Tuesday, daily electricity usage in Turkey climbed by 14.9 percent on Monday in comparison to the day before, standing at 841,365 megawatts per hours.
According to TEIAS figures, the peak hourly power usage was 40,269 megawatts per hours at 03:00 regional time (1200 GMT). At 5:00 a.m. regional time, the nation's power consumption reached its lowest point of 27,440 megawatts per hours (0200 GMT).
On Monday, 828,064 megawatts per hours of electricity were produced, a rise of 14.9 percent over Sunday.
Natural gas power factories comprised by 27.1 percent of the entire amount of electricity, while lignite power factories and imported coal constituted by 24.4 percent and 14.8 percent, correspondingly, to the total.
Electricity exports and imports for the day totaled 10,884 and 24,185 megawatts per hours, respectively.
