(MENAFN) Tehran's head prosecutor declared on Sunday that accusations have been released touching 14 persons involved in the killing of prominent scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh.
Ali Salehi stated that the 14 people have been convicted with “corruption on the earth,” “participation in intelligence and espionage collaboration with the Zionist government,” “collusion with the purpose of undermining the security of the country,” as well as “action against national security”.
Fakhrizadeh, a senior nuclear scientist, was aimed at in a multi-pronged terrorist attack close to a small town in northeast of Tehran on the 27th of November two years ago (2020).
Iranian officials stated at the time that Israel was the main responsible for the murder with the assist of U.S. intelligence.
Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council Ali Shamkhani had declared terrorists from the Mujahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO/MEK), Israel, as well as its spy service Mossad were the ones responsible for the targeted murder.
