Iran's mining head highlights nation’s need for mining, road-building machinery

(MENAFN) The chief of Iran's House of Industry, Mine and Trade highlighted the necessity to reach the nation’s need for mining and road-building machinery via imports and stated that “If we do not import this category of machinery, part of our production in the mining sector and road construction projects will face problems.”

Abd-ul-Vahab Sahl-Abadi mentioned that some of the machines required by the nation’s industry area are produced inside the nation, and in this concern, actions need to be taken to stop them from being shipped in.

However, road construction and mining machinery including excavators, loaders, bulldozers, etc. are not produced in the nation and must be imported, he also noted.

In the meantime, in mid-August, the vice chairman of Parliament’s Industries Committee had pointed out that the mining machinery of the nation is in need of restoration.

Talking about the import of machinery in the mining area, he stated that “Mining machinery is manufactured in the country, but unfortunately there are not enough large industries that manufacture mining machinery and their production is also limited, so they cannot meet all the needs in the field of mining machinery.”
