(MENAFN) The most recent report issued by the World Steel Association (WSA) indicates that Iran’s crude steel production has surged 64.7 percent in August this year from the same month last year.
According to the WSA figures, Iran outputted nearly 2.1 tons of crude steel in the stated month.
The Islamic Republic outputted 19.5 million tons of steel in the opening eight months of this year to record a 7.8 percent surge in comparison with the same time span in the prior year.
Iran has sustained its spot as the world’s 10th highest steel manufacturer throughout January-August this year, in line with the World Steel Association.
The Iranian Steel industry has been continuously improving throughout the last years versus all the weights and challenges established by external forces such as the U.S. restrictions in addition to the COVID-19 pandemic that has massively impacted the performance of the world’s highest producers.
The nation is estimated to jump to seventh place between the world’s highest steel manufacturers by the Iranian calendar year 1404 (March 2025).
