(MENAFN) Turkish presidential spokesman Ibrahim Kalin stated on Friday that Türkiye is the only nation that is making sincere efforts to stop the Russian-Ukrainian conflict as he referred to Ankara’s efforts to attain peace.
Kalin remarked on a range of problems including the conflict and the Cyprus issue came during an appearance on a television program televised by NTV.
Kalin repeated Türkiye's support for Ukraine's regional integrity and sovereignty and declared that there will be no winners in the Ukraine conflict. “Thus, we are determined to mobilize initiative at all levels and every means possible to end this war as soon as possible.”
On one-sided referendums on joining Russia in areas of Ukraine conquered by Moscow, Kalin stated: "We do not find initiatives such as unilateral referendums correct. The international community will not recognize this."
