ACTA Organises Workshop For QNA Employees

Doha: Administrative Control and Transparency Authority (ACTA) organized a workshop for Qatar News Agency employees, on“Charter of Conduct and Integrity of Public Officials”. 

The workshop, which took place in Barzan Hall at the authoritys headquarters, aimed to introduce the Charter of Conduct and Integrity of Public Officials issued as per Cabinet Resolution No. 18 of 2020.

The charter aims to enhance the values of integrity and transparency with regard to the public office, establish behavioral and ethical standards, basic rules and principles for public office ethics, commitment to objectivity and impartiality in decision-making, providing the public services to all without discrimination, and work to promote good work values and principles, in addition to justice and equality by providing equal and fair opportunities for employees.

In an interactive atmosphere, the workshop dealt with the most prominent definitions related to the public office and the ethics of public service and work. It included global applied aspects in several diverse fields.

In this context, Director of the Control and Development Department of ACTA Amal Al Kuwari pointed out to the definition of the functions of the public office and the functions performed by the public employee in order to achieve the public interest.

She explained that the Integrity of Public Officials Charter stresses the promotion of public service ethics in a way that contributes to achieving the highest indicators of integrity and transparency in the country and enhancing confidence in public office.
