Al Daayen City Wins Arab City Socially Responsible Award

Doha: Al Daayen City of Qatar has won Arab City Socially Responsible Award for 2023, in recognition of its efforts to establish distinguished practices in achieving social responsibility and sustainable development.

The award was received by Rashid Mashlash Al Khayarin, Director of Al Daayen Municipality, in the presence of Mansour Abdullah Zaid Al Mahmoud, Assistant Undersecretary for Municipal Affairs at the Ministry of Municipality, in a ceremony held by the Regional Network for Social Responsibility on Thursday in Amman, capital of Jordan.

The event was held coinciding with the World Day of Social Responsibility for 2022, as part of the activities of the International Congress on Social Responsibility.

An official delegation of leaders and ambassadors of the Regional Network for Social Responsibility will visit Qatar during the last quarter of this year, to hand over the key of Arab City Socially Responsible Award for 2023 to Minister of Municipality H E Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaie.

During the visit, a number of events will be held, including the announcement of“Al Daayen City, Arab City Socially Responsible Award for 2023”, the inauguration of the movie Al Daayen… the Arab City Socially Responsible Award for 2023, and the ceremony of handing over the key to the city from Cairo to the city of Al Daayen.

Professor Youssef Abdel Ghaffar, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Regional Network for Social Responsibility, expressed his appreciation for the efforts made in Qatar in promoting responsible practices, under the wise leadership of Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

The Regional Network for Social Responsibility is an international professional organisation, established in 2007 in Bahrain, with offices and representative partnerships in 16 Arab countries and abroad.
